sacrament talk, HAPPY NEW YEAR

today i was so worried about my sacrament talk, and i was suddenly moved up on the spot to first speaker. i have absolutely no idea if Bishop made a mistake when announcing or what, cos i was supposed to be 2nd speaker! but oh well. spoke too fast, Bro Victor commented that i "didn't need to breathe". haha i was super nervous. and i spent the past two days sleeping at 2am, preparing it last-minute. and i realised my house has really cool church books, like DOCTRINE & COVENANTS ENCYCLOPEDIA, by Hoyt W. Brewster Jr. it is freaking cool and there's so much info there. and i also spent a good deal of time looking through old issues of the Ensign, and i must say those prophets and apostles of old look quite um, different when they were younger. Elder L Tom Perry was very tall last time! he was even taller than Pres. Monson! that's cool. oh oh amanda got me the flower thingy from Toys R Us for Christmas. i shall put it on my bed cos it's big, and i can't bear to bend the stem. so crap, now i owe abish, her and kandace presents. going to meet the youth later for countdown to the NEW YEAR! we're going Bishop's house to surprise him, to celebrate his birthday! yay then going to kandace's house for movie marathon. i can't wait. okay then,
