AFGHANIS! <3
"Leaders! ARE YOU READY FOR THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION OF THE CENTURY!?"
"YES!!!"
"LEADERS, ARE YOU HUNGRY!?"

The Legendary Leaders Summit has got to be one of the best camps ever. oh my word I'M MISSING IT already.

Went there not knowing what to expect, and returned having learnt so much. made so many new friends (and a brother too!), had tons of fun and AFGHANIS was the bomb man!

Turn on the radio
And listen to the news
'Cause we're gonna win
And you're gonna lose
So back back
Back to your seats
'Cause we're gonna win
And you're gonna lose

Everbody dance now!
(cue clapping sequence)

Afghanis, from Major A (dng dng dng dng)
We will fight to win the war (")
Try our best to beat the rest (")
Doesn't matter if we win or lose (")
Hey hey, what do you see (")
Afghanis to victory!

softly:
Because we boom dynamite
Because we boom dynamite
Because we tic tic tic tic tic tic tic tic boom dynamite
loudly:
Because we boom dynamite
Because we boom dynamite
Because we tic tic tic tic tic tic tic tic boom dynamite
shout!:
Because we boom dynamite
Because we boom dynamite
Because we tic tic tic tic tic tic tic tic tic tic tic tic tic AFGHANIS!!!!!

~AFGHANIS group cheer, concocted by Zhai and Roger :)

Early morning late at night
The Afghanis are here to fight
We will win the war tonight
And we will show you all our might!

~AFGHANIS' original group cheer :)

#1 i love the people. it's them that made camp so fabulous!
#2 the coaches rock. kudos to Zhai and Roger for interacting with us and being so freaking nice and teaching us the super-duper-ultra cool cheer that pwns all others!
and Hsien Zhuan for putting up with all the bullying, especially during Ouch Obi Obi. he even got tau pok-ed on the last day!
and Sky for trying/doing more than 20 hula hoops for my birthday (yiying and i laughed like crap) and letting me try the hammock!
and Coach Elgin for putting up with all the vandalism on his arms and that delicious slice of cake(but i still cant stand the way he goes around filming people and ignoring the fact that he is intruding on privacy rights).
and Coach Yvonne for being so super duper sweet and nice and for fantabulous advice during consultation.
and haha ok fine Terence too for being our coach. he really looks beng lah please!
#3 camp was just opposite Sarimbun, but it's facilities are waaaaay better. tiled clean toilets with quite spacious cubicles, good food and lovely milo that's not overly diluted, big airy A-huts (that don't look A at all). yay!
#4 my first time celebrating my brithday at a camp, and i have to say it was awesome. what with starting the day early in the morning at 4am for a morning trail full of mud, and filled with inspirational talks and long breaks spent playing cards, and ending off the night with a bang with writing autographs on people's backs and really spoiling my already-spolit throat with all the shouting and cheering. i really enjoyed it! oh yes and SPONGEBOB presents from JAMY was fabu. it inspired me to say "I love you Yiying!" for the very first time :) beckie and andrea are so funny they gave me this "card" and toblerone and cadbury choc blueberry flavour! and dear ainslie gave me a muffin (a muffin that was for us to eat during lunch btw) and 2 birthday slaps while playing ouch obi obi.

haha they used toilet paper for this card. but aren't they so sweet!

oh man everyone's so sweet!

AFGHANIS! <3

church camp before that was really good too! haha dry games and wet games were no different at all. i have no idea why but i woke up early both mornings. and i caught the sunrise! i love sitting on the rock and letting the water splash my feet as the tide comes up. it's so peaceful, so calming, and it's a great way to start the day :) went jogging with cheryl and realised how terribly bad me stamina was and my cough didn't help. huh-uh. where did my drive to train go?! yw activity was super fun. ran around ps on a mad amazing race and got a good workout. my team was 2nd! and was terribly amused by April, who has such a terrible memory!

April: ok you're emma, al-ally, murray?
Me: no! myra! myra myra myra!
April: ok MYRA. uh amber?
everyone: no! amanda!
April: ok right amanda. ok so you're murray...
Me: MYRA!!!
April: right myra. and uh, amber?

she's hopeless!

trudged home, bathed squeaky clean, threw all my clothes into the laundry basket, and floomped on the bed and slept. ward thanksgiving dinner after that was delicious but tiring. listened to much Click 5, courtesy of kan!

last wed was terrific. parents really spent A LOT on me for that day :D i enjoyed good food at Marriot, haagen diaz after that, followed by GAME OF LIFE: SPONGEBOB EDITION!!! and shopping. yay i had a fun day that day celebrating my birthday :)))

whoo yes made my ic today. ic photo is quite um. hm. eh. oh well.
jetting off to hk next monday! mum was remarking "wah, you're like some business woman." i am seriously busy this holiday. how in the world am i supposed to find time to revise sec3 work?! oh gah meh bah.

I've heard the screams of the vegetables (scream scream scream)
browsing the Toys 'R' Us catalog makes me v. happy :))) especially when i see the part where it says "20% Off selected Parker Brothers/MB Games" and that includes Game of Life!!! which means it's highly likely it'll include the SPONGEBOB edition :DDD yay getting it for my birthday :)))

too bad so sad for those who didn't go for bbq :/ tons of fun :)))

sacrament talk yesterday was good. i was so freakin afraid it'll be bad considering i ____ __ _____ to do it. heh. went to sis judy's house for dinner yesterday. yay nice food. and they have this black goldfish called the lionhead and it's SUPER CUTE. watched some church production called Friends of Nations, put up for the Winter Olympics hosted by Utah!, and it was really good. admired the performers coordination, and the beauty of the Tabernacle when they decorated it with banners(?) of other countries. super pretty.

have you ever realised that the best way to eavesdrop on people's conversations (especially adult ones) is to look busily engrossed in doing something (such as watching tv)? they'll be more ready to talk and all you'll have to do is listen really hard. then they'll tell you after that "now just keep your mouth shut, don't go around talking about this to other people" always makes me laugh when they say that.

thanksgiving this coming thur! oh wait i'll be at youth camp. dang no turkey this year it seems! :( oh well birthday lunch/buffet this wed at Grand Hyatt haha good food galore!

just remembered i stayed over at Third Aunt's house just last sat! it seems like, AGES ago. haha enjoyed delicious charsiew (her sauce pwns anybody else's I've ever taste before), good steamed chicken(though the sauce was a little salty), and wonderful prawns!!! marisa and i ate like 3/4 of the prawns bwahahahah.
went to Changi Airport's Terminal 3 the next morning organised by their cc. haha i got to see the terminal 3 before so many other people mwahahahah. behind-the-scenes no joke man! the whole structure is like, super glassy. i love the carpeting :) and the $868 seats are comfortable man.
and Third Aunt's neighbour's son, Azalia Nicholas, is like super super super cute. he's so short! oh well he's only p5.

HEROES tonight!!! :)))

My heart can't possibly break When it wasn't even whole to start with
OH MY GOSH GOOD JOB CHOIR!!!!! WE ACTUALLY GOT A FRIGGIN GOLD (OUT OF 12 CHOIRS K), SO WHAT IF WE WEREN'T TOP 3 WE WERE TOP 4 PAH! THIS FALLS OUT BETTER THAN I EXPECTED.
an unexpected face appeared, yet another reason to ignore him cos he never bothered to tell me he's in choir! gah meanie.

CLASS BBQ IS THE ULTIMATE <333. CLAUD'S HOUSE IS SUPER NICE AND BIG. FOOD WAS DELICIOUS, ALL THANKS TO NICHOLAS, HER SIS' BF'S BRO. HAHA COMPLICATED? YEAH SHE KNOWS. sausages were super rockerrrrr but sadly, the huge sausage was chillified. bah. LAVA CAKE + VANILLA ICE CREAM = EUPHORIA. IT WAS THAT GOOD :))) SUWENN'S CRUTCHES ARE SUPER COOL AND FUN TO PLAY WITH. AND YEAH I'M THE FIRST TO SIGN HER CAST YAY. LIJIA (BEST ENEMY) AND YISHU PLAYING STRESS IS SUUUUPER FUNNY AND SHU'S FORFEIT aka BANANA DANCE WAS HILARIOUS. CAMWHORING MADNESS TOPPED IT ALL OFF.

runny nose during choir = looking like i just cried = missing carissa and sad about sakura, according to jingyi and maryanne. NOT. i really hate my nose. no not because it looks big or anything superficial, but because it keeps running. it runs so much it's stamina rocks. i wonder how many trees i've killed with all the tissue i've used in my life. meh.

but sadly a good day was tainted what with me losing my wallet (gah it was with maryanne all this time! unnecessary worrying. pfffft)

Carrot juice constitutes murder
MOCK ASEAN IS KILLING ME. STUPID REPORTS AND PPTS AND SPEECHES AND GOODNESS KNOWS. I'M SUPPOSED TO BE GETTING HOURS OF BEAUTY SLEEP, OR MAYBE TALKING TO UNCLE S. INSTEAD I'M ON THE COMP DOING STUPID STUFF. GAH MEH BAH! I SHALL ALWAYS BE VERY CAREFUL FOR WHAT I'M SIGNING UP FOR FROM NOW ON. NO MORE MISTAKENLY THINKING I AM ONLY A HELPER.
-what i was thinking at 12.09 on 14nov

MOCK ASEAN WAS SO INTERESTING UNTIL IT WAS BORING! SO COOL UNTIL IT WAS SO GAAACK. SO HELPFUL UNTIL I MISSED OUT ON THE CAREER EDUCATION WKSHOP SO I'LL PROBABLY END UP AS A ROADSIDE SWEEPER AS I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHAT JOB SUITS ME. GAH MEH BAH!
-what i felt after going through mock asean

Game Plan after that with the young women was super fun. haha the show's reeaalllly hilarious. (but i still want to watch Stardust!)
went home suuuuuuuuuuper tired, mini headache forming, slow legs and aching shoulders. meh.

chionged shopping at chinatown with mas for Meng Da Peng's present. nice and cheap yay. but pffffft, turned out conductor wasn't expecting the gift for him?! gah made a fool of myself saying the "thankyou" speech. I AM NOT MADE FOR SPEAKING CHINESE.

So while I'm feeling strong I'll sing you one last song
Tea, Tiffen and Poetry was kinda cool. this poet um, something Nancy, was really cool. her poems are like so, angsty-ish content but written in a really non-angsty-ish way. wait i dont make sense. meh! and the last poet uh, Madeleine Lee, her poems are so cheem until it's well hm, boring (she herself said so), more so obvious since she was after uh, this guy in charge of Poetry Slam! gosh his was hilarious. teabreak after that was not bad! then poetry presentations by students were pretty cool. yay :)

yay 3Truth won quarter-finals of debate against 3Wisdom! Andrea Charlotte Roxanne (Claud) super rock! considering the topic was "THBT the school system does not encourage a thinking culture" and we were the opp, i say the fact that we won is super cool! go 3Truth!

hm there's this old (if i'm not wrong) band called A Flock Of Seagulls, and they have this song Telecommunication and oh my word. ewww.

This is telecommunication,
Telecommunication
Telecommunication,
Telecommunication

this part is repeated 6 times in the song. repetition overdose much?

yay yinger's concert was really nice. i really enjoyed the um, third song, it was a Christmas medley thingy. oh wait my programme is with JESMINE ONG: pretty please give back to me when i see you! but all the same i enjoyed myself. and the fact that the conductor explained and pointed out, before every song, certain elements of the song that we should look out for definitely helped. yay!
ok lunched at pastamania at Cineleisure with shuan, han, marie, jes and yinger. oh my word we finished our meal after what seemed like a VERY LONG TIME, and it turned out to be only 1/2 HOUR!!! tsk. right walked abit and took neoprints! haha and the machine we used had a green background AND I WAS WEARING A GREEN SHIRT. and there was even a warning that went something like "Clothing the same colour as the background is NOT acceptable". haha and my shirt in the eventual prints had the background imprinted! SUPER WARPED. only 1 turned out normal. pfft.
reached church for seminary grad. sister chris really did a brill job with the programme sheet :) and i say i'm super proud of myself for being one of those who completed scripture mastery :)))

I AM STILL CHOOSING TO IGNORE SOMEONE REALLY MEAN. cos well, mean people deserve that right?

and i'm quite irritated with this writer, uh Douglas Tseng from Life!, The Straits Times. his article "One man, three wives" about Ginnifer Goodwin from the show Big Love is like so gah!
i quote "It's a comparison that at first seems odd, given that Big Love - on HBO (StarHub Channel 60) - is about a Mormon man and his three wives....The series revolves around Bill Henrickson (Bill Paxton), a Utah Fundamentalist Mormon, and his three wives".
HOW FRIGGIN IGNORANT IS THIS WRITER YOU TELL ME! JUST BECAUSE THE CHURCH HE WAS FROM CONTAINS THE WORD 'MORMON', IT SUPER DOES NOT MEAN HE IS A MORMON!!! well ok Mormon isn't exactly the right word for us, Latter-day Saints is more fitting (as my dad puts it). BUT STILL. THE TERM 'MORMON' IS SO CLOSELY ASSOCIATED WITH US THAT TO USE IT SO CALLOUSLY IS SO >:(

and there was one article from The Sunday Times about the Singapore fans during the Arsenal vs ManU match, and i was busy smirking at it.
i quote "We kept them at bay. It showed the that this Arsenal team will never say die....It was a roller-coaster ridebut we never gave up. We scored late winners against Fulham and Manchester City. We netted late equalisers against Liverpool and, now, United....We gave it away. It was really bad defending." (words bolden for emphasis)
what's with all those 'WE's!!!

You keep living like you're a movie star But tell me who you really are when the lights go down
ooh COW COW TYCOON is super fun ok. i love lijia and her phone! after many many setbacks, i think i'm finally progressing superbly. yay.

today's SOCIAL ETIQUETTE course was haha pretty fun. first part was super funny. like super super super funny. super super super super super funny. :DDD second part was super informative.
I HEREBY DECLARE I'M PROUD OF WEARING THE IJ UNIFORM COS IT'S ULTRA COOL AND PWNS EVERYONE'S ELSE IN TERMS OF COOLNESS.

lessons are super sickening. super super super sickening. super super super super super sickening. super super super super super super super sickening. super super super super super super super super super sickening. super super super super super super super super super super super super sickening. super super super super super super super super super super super super super super super sickening. GET MY POINT?

ah well seminary grad tomorrow yay. can't wait to see all the youth again! :) and before that i'm going to Singapore Natoinal Youth Training Orchestra's "Beethoven to Borodin" with jesmine :) ok let's hope i'll know how to appreciate the music played, since i'm not really musically inclined :X haha then gonna do um, NO IDEA WHAT with jes and yinger until seminary grad. word! so many hours to kill.

i really really really like pop princess :)))
