Tea, Tiffen and Poetry was kinda cool. this poet um, something Nancy, was really cool. her poems are like so, angsty-ish content but written in a really non-angsty-ish way. wait i dont make sense. meh! and the last poet uh, Madeleine Lee, her poems are so cheem until it's well hm, boring (she herself said so), more so obvious since she was after uh, this guy in charge of Poetry Slam! gosh his was hilarious. teabreak after that was not bad! then poetry presentations by students were pretty cool. yay :)
yay 3Truth won quarter-finals of debate against 3Wisdom! Andrea Charlotte Roxanne (Claud) super rock! considering the topic was "THBT the school system does not encourage a thinking culture" and we were the opp, i say the fact that we won is super cool! go 3Truth!
hm there's this old (if i'm not wrong) band called A Flock Of Seagulls, and they have this song Telecommunication and oh my word. ewww.
This is telecommunication,
Telecommunication
Telecommunication,
Telecommunicationthis part is repeated 6 times in the song. repetition overdose much?
yay yinger's concert was really nice. i really enjoyed the um, third song, it was a Christmas medley thingy. oh wait my programme is with JESMINE ONG: pretty please give back to me when i see you! but all the same i enjoyed myself. and the fact that the conductor explained and pointed out, before every song, certain elements of the song that we should look out for definitely helped. yay!
ok lunched at pastamania at Cineleisure with shuan, han, marie, jes and yinger. oh my word we finished our meal after what seemed like a VERY LONG TIME, and it turned out to be only
1/2 HOUR!!! tsk. right walked abit and took neoprints! haha and the machine we used had a green background AND I WAS WEARING A GREEN SHIRT. and there was even a warning that went something like "Clothing the same colour as the background is NOT acceptable". haha and my shirt in the eventual prints had the background imprinted! SUPER WARPED. only 1 turned out normal. pfft.
reached church for seminary grad. sister chris really did a brill job with the programme sheet :) and i say i'm super proud of myself for being one of those who completed scripture mastery :)))
I AM STILL CHOOSING TO IGNORE SOMEONE REALLY MEAN. cos well, mean people deserve that right?
and i'm quite irritated with this writer, uh Douglas Tseng from Life!, The Straits Times. his article "One man, three wives" about Ginnifer Goodwin from the show Big Love is like so gah!
i quote "It's a comparison that at first seems odd, given that Big Love - on HBO (StarHub Channel 60) - is about a Mormon man and his three wives....The series revolves around Bill Henrickson (Bill Paxton), a Utah Fundamentalist Mormon, and his three wives".
HOW FRIGGIN IGNORANT IS THIS WRITER YOU TELL ME! JUST BECAUSE THE CHURCH HE WAS FROM CONTAINS THE WORD 'MORMON', IT SUPER DOES NOT MEAN HE IS A MORMON!!! well ok Mormon isn't exactly the right word for us, Latter-day Saints is more fitting (as my dad puts it). BUT STILL. THE TERM 'MORMON' IS SO CLOSELY ASSOCIATED WITH US THAT TO USE IT SO CALLOUSLY IS SO
>:(and there was one article from The Sunday Times about the Singapore fans during the Arsenal vs ManU match, and i was busy smirking at it.
i quote "
We kept them at bay. It showed the that this Arsenal team will never say die....It was a roller-coaster ridebut
we never gave up.
We scored late winners against Fulham and Manchester City.
We netted late equalisers against Liverpool and, now, United....
We gave it away. It was really bad defending." (words bolden for emphasis)
what's with all those 'WE's!!!
