HAPPY NATIONAL DAY !!!haha just watched the Parade and gosh, i think the fireworks were amazing! much prettier and more than last year! but hm, the performances were...kinda
boring. ah well,
HAPPY 43rd BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!#2 National Day Celebration in school yesterday was bittersweet?
the whole idea of [30000 people linking hands all around Spore and saying the pledge at 12 with President Nathan!] pretty much bombed due to apparently a
HUGE lack of proper communication. i really pity the organisers and "motivators" (hah right). well, at least 4truth self-motivated ourselves and sang ndp arias and cheered and waved to passengers on buses (they never waved back pfft). and yes we camwhored!
but i can't help but feel that the whole thing was quite disappointing. i think i'd rather go back to our traditional way of celebrating rather than this never-before-done-! method.

the Going Home Club ! (haha zhuwei shorter than us for once)

A=B / JAMY !

Blue house ftw!

Battle of Changmin and Jaejoong fans

#3 watched the Opening Ceremony of Olympics '08! it really was a cultural feast and visual bonanza filled with no-holds-barred fireworks that boomed throughout the 3hour spectacular. i was awed by the beginning 2008 people-strong drumming display. as it went on, i got further and further impressed. every performance was brilliantly choreographed, perfectly excecuted and just super breathtaking. i think the whole team led by Zhang Yimou never let China down. i admit, it's even made me feel more proud of having chinese roots. (but i still hate learning the language)
it finally reached a climax when the Olympic bowl was lighted up by a truly cool thingamabob, and President Hu Jintao declared the Olympics "OPEN!"
i can't wait to follow it everyday, and hope that Michael Phelps gets his 8 Gold haul. what an exciting time!

aww China didn't win the first gold of the Games, but it has 2 now!
